COVID-19 Precautions
What steps will you take to protect my safety when buying or selling a home?
Marketing Media
In order to minimize physical contact, extensive marketing tools such as professional photos, floor plans, and virtual tours will be provided to showcase your home online. This way, we can ensure that only buyers who are seriously interested in your home will come for an in-person showing.
Virtual Open Houses
By hosting virtual open houses, we can maximize the exposure of your listing while minimizing physical contact with your home. Interested buyers who are unable to attend an in-person showing can opt for a no-contact viewing. This way, you won’t miss out on a potential buyer for your home. Of course, in-person viewings will still be accommodated with the proper safety procedures!
Digital Signatures
With modern day technology, we are able to use digital signatures for the contract of purchase and sale, as well as other relevant documents. This means you can minimize physical contact during the negotiation process. Being able to instantly sign through your phone or computer not only increases efficiency, it is also safer for you!
Minimizing Contact & PPE
If you are living in a home you are planning to sell, you may be wary about having buyers touch your cabinets and door handles. To protect you and your family, buyers will be provided with sanitizer and disposable gloves to explore the space. Alternatively, they can leave the opening of cabinets and doors to me (with gloves)! If they do not have a mask, they will be provided with one.
Sanitizing After Showings
High traffic “touch” areas include countertops, doorknobs, lights, locks and cabinets will be wiped down with lysol. To minimize contact even further, you can choose to leave the lights on prior to showings, and turn them off when you return - it’s entirely up to you. Ensuring your comfort and safety is my top priority!
SELLING
Discussing Listings of Interest
To minimize physical contact, we can discuss listings of interest over the phone. Things we can review include the layout, location, amenities, strata fees, future potential and value, and any other questions you may have. By screening properties and shortlisting the suitable ones, you won’t end up attending an in-person viewing only to find out that you didn’t like the layout to begin with!

Work on a Pre-Approval
To avoid spending time looking at homes that may not work for you, it is a good idea to get pre-approved prior to scheduling in-person showings. You will have a much better understanding of what you can buy and this way, we can reduce physical contact and minimize your exposure. You may also be pleasantly surprised with what you can afford!
Inquiring with the Listing Agent
If you have any specific questions about the property you are interested in, I can discuss the items with the listing agent prior to scheduling an in-person showing. By finding out these details, we can narrow down which properties may work for you, reducing the amount of necessary showings and minimizing your exposure.
Showing Procedures
There are a few things you can do to minimize exposure when looking for a home. If you find a listing you like, you can always drive by to check it out prior to requesting a showing. Should you decide that you would like to see the home in person, it is best to keep the attending parties to a small number and ensure that you social distance with anyone outside of your household. Wearing a mask and carrying sanitizer will also help to keep you safe!
